Police in Shanghai, China are going to post photos and videos of jaywalkers in newspapers and on TV in a bid to shame them out of breaking traffic rules. The police have even set up regular newspaper columns and special television programs to display the offenders. I guess this beats the usual punishment of a club to the kneecap and formaldehyde injection in the skull... but, perhaps the pendulum has swung a bit to far in the opposite direction? [Reuters]
